Beginning this week, Erie News Now will be interviewing each of the 9 startup companies in a weekly segment to introduce the companies to the community, giving them a chance to introduce their businesses and products to those who may not be familiar with them.
The first of the companies to be featured in the weekly segment is Kwema, a company based out of Mexico City that has begun marketing its sleek and stylish bracelet that also acts as a safety device. This wearable tech has a hidden alarm or panic button that individuals can press if they are in a threatening situation, notifying contacts and nearby community members who may be able to help.
