Madrid, Spain – Bryan Goldsmith of FindParts.Aero, a 2019 Secure Erie Accelerator company, recently returned from his trip to Madrid, Spain, where he participated in the “Hangar 51” pitch event, which took place on September 3rd.
FindParts.Aero is an aviation sourcing solution – an aircraft spare parts marketplace. It is the world’s fourth largest Part Finder & MRO Finder Database in the world today.
The company was featured at Hangar 51, a leading global travel accelerator that gives disruptors and innovators the opportunity to pilot their technologies at scale with IAG (International Airlines Group), which includes British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and more.
Over 500 airline focused startups applied to have the opportunity to pitch and only 36 were selected as a result.
“It was great that all of the companies that participated in the event were airline focused,” Goldsmith said. “This created a collaborative; synergistic environment and our company gained a tremendous amount of key contacts as a result.”
Goldsmith said that presenting at the Secure Erie Accelerator Demo Day just over a week prior to the event helped prepare him for the stage at Hangar 51.
